I purchased residential plot in Dehradun for Rs 10000 in year 1970. Now planning to sell in Sep 2010 for Rs 40 Lacs. Property is suject to payment of Rs 300000 to Sainik housing socity. How much capital Tax ma be charged ? Value of Bonds to be purchased to save Tax

You will have to buy bonds worth the net profi that you have made after all costs. Therefore you will have to invest in bonds worth about Rs 36 lacs
